EpiCenter Helps Ohio Physicians’ Practices Meet Meaningful Use Requirements

January, 2012 — The Smith Clinic and Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio, recently signed on to become the first physicians’’ practices to utilize EpiCenter.

EpiCenter is HMS’s service that electronically monitors community health. The system will collect Electronic Health Records (EHR) and forward it to the State of Ohio, in compliance with the Meaningful Use requirements outlined in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Physicians utilizing EHR will receive financial incentives from Medicare and Medicaid.
